Watergrove Trust Welcomes New ECT Cohort
A huge welcome to our newest cohort of Early Career Teachers (ECTs)!
The energy was palpable today at our Trust Headquarters during their first face-to-face training event. This session exemplified our philosophy: we uphold the statutory rigour and fidelity of the Early Career Teacher Entitlement (ECTP), but we commit to “Provide More” by delivering highly contextualised support that immediately translates to classroom actuality.

Our ECTs officially launched into the Education Development Trust’s ECTP programme with our Staff Development Lead, Jenna King-Jagger. A key focus of the morning was cultivating deep contextual knowledge of the communities we serve, ensuring that the deliberate practice built into the programme will directly enhance effectiveness across all our schools. Following this, Gemma Mason from Sandbrook Primary expertly led a session, diving into effective oracy strategies and outlining their vital role for both teachers and our communities.
Thank you to every single ECT for the incredible engagement and commitment you showed today. We are thrilled to partner with you on your professional journey!
