Watergrove Trust Celebrates 5th Annual Training Day
Today the Watergrove Trust held its fifth Annual Training Day, with over 350 colleagues, across our partner schools and phases, sharing what it means to have well-led classrooms which are engaging and responsive to need.
Watergrove Trust teachers and leaders delivered exceptional sessions throughout the day, taking great care to attend to both the relational and pedagogical responsibilities of the classroom teacher.
Teachers selected a personalised programme and through connection and collaboration discussed the application of successful strategies, to ensure that every learner in our community can truly belong and thrive.
To honour the scope of our mission to be ever Providing More, we also welcomed external experts. Dr Giles Barrow and Cat Cornthwaite, trained Transactional Analysts, continued their extensive work with the Trust by delivering training sessions on the application of Transactional Analysis.
Alex Quigley, the Head of Content and Engagement at the Education Endowment Foundation, shared phase-specific strategies for supporting writing and delivered workshops with teachers to further inform the responsive practice which ensures quality in all classrooms. To honour our culture of equality, the co-founder and Clinical Director of Mable Therapy, Martha Curie, alongside her colleague Emily Woodhouse, a Speech and Language specialist, shared their expertise on language acquisition.
