Wardle Academy Ski Trip 2024
Wardle Academy took 40 students from Year 8, 9 and 10 to Wagrain in Austria over the first week of Easter… and what a week it was!
Despite the blazing sunshine, there was plenty of fun to be had in the snow. The beginner skiers saw a complete transformation and were flying down the mountain by the end of the week. Likewise, the intermediate and advanced groups came on leaps and bounds, skiing with incredible skill and dexterity on the slopes. Incredible accomplishments at all levels!
This culminated in a Ski Race on our final day, won by Jack Chaplin – well done, Jack!

The young skiers also enjoyed some ‘Après Ski’, consisting of mini-golf, bowling, pizza and – unfortunately – they even trounced the staff at 5-aside football.
We remain hugely impressed by our students who behaved with integrity, responsibility and perseverance, making the trip an absolute joy.
A special mention goes out to Mr McCulloch, Mr Egan, Miss Needham, Mr Clark, Mr Howarth and Miss Crossley who supported our students expertly across the week.
